I have 90 gandiva, should I make Anni?
Topic. Basically I'm worried about the hard work my ls and I put into the bow and it collecting dust if I make an anni. I don't want 2 weapons competing for the same niche. Also with hate as it is I figure I'm going to cap either way when decoy shot is down, or am i wrong on that?
I think when it comes down to that they are both good strong weapons, my girlfriend already has her Gandiva but we are now working on her Anni just because she loves ranger. I think once you have both its more of a, "do i feel like pew pew, or do i want to rain thunder?"

If you get gun to 95/99 and 5/5 last stand, there is no reason you'll use gandiva again

[32 days between previous and next post]I plan on doing exactly what you mention- gandiva/annihilator combo. Mostly because JR is quite powerful, but having the option of Coronach for hate free damage for long fights, as well as Last Stand (I haven't been able to merit it yet I'll be honest, lots of other work to do on other jobs and not a lot of playtime these days) which I hear is incredible.
And hey, at this point in the game, why not have a little fun instead of just worrying about the parse all the time? I'm serious here. I'd rather have both at my disposal for the fun of it, for the personal accomplishment of it. But yeah, in my opinion, Yoichi is pretty much worthless. If you want enmity free, anni is much better, because it gives you Last Stand over Apex Arrow. Doesn't anni beat beat gandiva in terms of damage anyways? Hate free or not.

Hope that is better when you remove the ranged attack easy mac. i have always been a gun man myself. and i do not have it yet but am going crazy with 5/5 back hand blow shot aka last stand. plus i will never get the help for buttkiss, and with being able to have solid 200-300+ coin runs every day on dyn should not take to long.

I'm still on the fence as to which relic I want to do (im the OP). I figured a rng going all out would use coronach 300% and spam last stand until aftermath wore. What is the aftermath anyways? Wiki's just say additional effect from the ws, like ukonvasara and slow effect. Or does the lowered enmity last for 30 seconds? Basically wondering what makes it so good besides huge base damage, a nice merit ws, occasional tripple damage for your shots/barrage, and a low hate mediocre ws. Coronach's aftermath isn't doing anything to keep you under the radar. Exclusively using Coronach is what kept rangers from dying in ye old FFXI. That's really no longer applicable.

Exactly. The gun is beastly in its own right, but if enmity is a limitation, you won't get much help from it.
So full circle to original question, get anni if i have 90 gandiva? Or get apoc with more utility.

If you're looking for someone to support Apocalypse, you're asknig the wrong person. That weapon is a joke for virtually everything, including the one event that I initially thought it would shine in. A good rng knows how to dance on the thin line of pulling too much hate anyways, as long as other DD's/tank stays alive. Once hate is capped you can go nuts regardless because the mob will only glance at you until the next action is performed on it.
Anyways for apoc, I know cata is pretty weak and I don't see myself meriting entropy. Was hoping the pure dot of attack speed matched with o.d.d. would make it shine. So perhaps better to upgrade my rng into annihilatorhood! dynamis tavnazia arch boss says hi
